Nyaribari Chache Constituency

Nyaribari Chache Constituency is one of the 9 constituencies of Kisii County. The current MP for Nyaribari Chache Constituency is Hon. Zaheer Jhanda. The constituency has five (6) County Assembly Wards namely, Kisii Central Ward, Kiogoro Ward, Bobaracho Ward, Keumbu Ward, Ibeno Ward and Birongo Ward.
The Constituency borders the constituencies of Nyaribari Masaba, Kitutu Chache South, Bobasi and Bonchari. Keumbu is the constituency headquarters. The constituency also host some of the best public and private schools notable among them; Kisii High school, Kereri Girls High school, St. Paul’s Amasago high school, St Augustine’s Otamba Girls high school, St Mary’s Nyanchwa girls, Nyanchwa boys’ high school, Nyamagwa SDA, Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi Kegati and many more totalling to 78 registered primary schools, 40 registered secondary school and 1 National Polytechnic and a University at the moment. The constituency is largely rural with mixed farming being the main economic activity having Rianyamwamu tea factory in the region. Nyaribari Chache Constituency has hosted many National and International events key among them the Regional and National Kenya Secondary School Sports Association 2024 at Kisii School.
